I have tremendous respect for Clark Westmont. (Now of SSB) He made us a ton of money when he was at montgomery with his "summer seasonality" mid summer negative comments in 1998. (We bought more....thank you Clark.) Smart enough guy, strange analytical process. Don't know how (or if?) his brain works, but his recent "inventory" Hi/Fn downgrade was completely wrong on VTSS/PMCS. (It would be hard for PMCS to have an inventory problem at lucent since they are on a just in time delivery program!) I haven't seen his MMCN comments today, but I'm sure BD will dig 'em out before I get back to the office. (There is a danger here, one of these days he may actually have a valid piece of information that actually is a cause for concern.) For now, if Westmont is making his comments on pmcs based on MMCN related issues, I'd have to say I'm pretty confident he's being very ...uhhh.... "consistent." TD
