Jdaasoc, thanks for the link. Two tidbits:

- 840 does not support PC700 memory - only 600/800
- RIMMs must be installed in pairs of exactly the same type. The only combinations are 2 populated or 4 populated.

Thanks for the link, John. Seems like the 840 motherboard does indeed require that memory must be installed in pairs of identical RIMMs.

I'd sure like to see what the third-party web sites like Anandtech or Sharky Extreme can find out about the performance of 840 on the latest applications and games.
