Maybe they were, or maybe they just didn't see the internet train coming.

Water under the bridge at this point anyway. I do like this arrangement. I buy some stock and at the end of one year I either get a fair return or I get to see Halpin fired. I like those odds. lol.

On a more positive note, I posted a few weeks back that I would try to stop into some of the other CompUSA stores in my town and see the new changes. I did this yesterday and I must say I am pretty impressed.

First, the store was a total (and I mean TOTAL) mess. There must have been 1000 plus games stacked in the walkway. There were at least 6 people working on the store. New displays, including a PlayStation one like at Best Buy. For all the chaos I could see what its going to look like in a couple more weeks. A change for the better.

Now the better part. I counted 27 cars in the lot at 2 pm on a Tuesday. This is an improvement and store traffic was as high as I have seen on a weekday in a long time.

Now the best part. I bought two items. One item was the best price I could find (including better than the internet if you add in the cost of shipping a 15-20 lb. box. The other item I bought at the fair market price, but I selected CPU because they had it in stock (Best Buy didn't).

Overall they may have a plan that could work. A wider product mix and a much wider selection in certain product groups.

One day the uptick may move past 6 5/8 and not look back.

Good Luck
