I think I'll shut up. My personal realism, is misplaced.

I'm not advising your reality.

Merely commenting, that if it were my kid, I would have to give him a grand and explain to him/her, "Tell them you're an orphan. I'm not leaving the house."

I support and admire your Mommi-ness, team-ness, responsibility-ness, and nessie of the loch.

Literally, I just couldn't do it, and it makes me admire you all the more. Not kidding.

It does sound like swimming... a very personal best kind of sport, but there are still teams and relays, so you get the group feel to some extent. I like it.

Club sports are horribly expensive though. WHen the boys did US SWim, there were the monthly fees, the meet fees, and who would think a teensy weensy Speedo would cost 24.00. ANd goggles!! 7 and 8 a pop, and they go through a lot of them. It added up.
Lots nicer now that it's a school sport.
Fundraisers are the pits.
I buy everything my kids have to sell.
All of it.
Big boxes of candy are our favorite thing.
