Thompson analytic's reports this. Also, you can see it happening with Nasdaq level II screens.

Leigh, RE: I know that Wall Street has been buying, but are all the Funds loading up in size?

Large funds on Wall St. have been buying, that's for sure. But what you haven't been told is that large funds on Wall St. are also selling. In fact, this is almost always the case.

In fact, money flow is one of the most misunderstood factors on this thread. When there is a large block crossed on DELL on the offer side, money flow numbers show that as an accumulation. The fact is, however, that the seller also was a large institution. The net holdings of Wall St. hadn't changed at all. The main thing that money flow numbers tell you isn't as much institutional accumulation as it is that the buyers are more anxious to buy and the sellers are more patient. Sometimes this is a forebear that the stock is moving up, sure. But other times, it is an indication that the patient sellers are making a more rational decision than the emotional buyers. And a Level II screen for Nasdaq stocks tells you nothing about buyers and sellers. Ignore it unless you day trade stocks or get paid to eke out an extra 1/16 on a trade.

Next time somebody on this board talks about 'large institutions buying' or something to that effect (and there are many people here that do that), odds are very good that they have no idea what they're talking about.
