LetHerSlide -- if it happens, I can't imagine a better opportunity to buy more of my #1 core holding (some people criticize Chambers all the time -- mostly jealousy, imo -- but if you have followed his statements 'over time', his accuracy has been amazing).

Wishing all well,

dc

Hand ringing over CSCO's number this quarter is really idiotic.

First, last week on CNBC Chamber's as much as said it was 'maybe' a one quarter effect, and even then when he finished tossing out all but big enterprise customers, he said they were the only ones that might be effected, then smiled about their prospects. That's "one" quarter. Not the current one. And, unlike everyone else, almost, CSCO has a quarter ending in January to recapture any order that was put on hold until January. Give me a break!

I've got 160 long calls on this analysis, and that is after making 150% in one day on 80 calls the next strike down last week.

Take SUNW as another example. Everybody else is hurting so they blame it on Y2K. The real reason is SUNW. And McNealy goes on tv to say he expects growth of over 20% a quarter for the forseeable future, then the next day some hand ringing analyst cuts his growth rate on SUNW to 17%. How stupid can you get when you know they can see the pipeline well enough not to make stupid statements on tv.
