Don, I don't read Slate it is fer left wing skunks -g- While 1200 SAT scores would not get you into Yale on their own merit it is a very respectable score and I think the author would do well to tell us what percentile do better but that would undercut the author's weak attempt to paint GWB as not so smart. I can remember few people in high school did better- I would take a wild guess and say you would be in the top 10% -even if it were 20% you are still smart but not brilliant. This author like most political commentators knows little about economics as demonstrated by his giving credit to Clinton's smart administration for the current bubble when it is primarily the result of unprecedented excesses in credit and abuse of the PPT - IMO. I know that is the way politics work but it is ignorant. Mike
