"Imagine, as a voter and Internet user, being targeted with issue based advertising fully tailored to your individual profile. Prepare to be bombarded and fully saturated by sound bites and streaming video of stances on issues only relative to you by all parties involved that need your vote."

Frankly, I'd be rather pissed off. My political views are no one else's business unless I choose to make it so. This clandestine violation of my privacy for the sake of political advertising is one of those issues that will drive campaigns for the regulation of the Internet - and where does that lead to? Restrictions on free speech?

This is one area I wish online advertisers could find another (non-privacy-invasive) approach for. If TFSM gets heavily involved, they may get the same kind of public backlash as the company that was compiling a country's worth of personal federal census data for distribution on CD ROMs to advertisers. THEY got out of that business pretty quick after all the public condemnation. I hope TFSM doesn't put itself into the same boat.
