I only thing that I have heard is that the new COO is likely to come from GE lineage. This will be viewed as a major PLUS by the analyst.

The current (11/8/99) issue of Space News has a front page story "Distressed but Defiant Lockheed 'Not for Sale'"
Says the GD and Carlyle Group have been looking at the prospect of taking a major stake in LM.
