Irregardless Charles, MSFT still produces the best desktop OS and productivity software (period) and they are aggressively positioning themselves for the future in net/telco acquisitions/investments. All other desktops are a cheap subfunctional imitations.

Sun/AOL and the gang have more to fear from MSFT moving into their server space with n-way x86 + NT/2000 and devouring them. If you think a Sun Ray or other thin clients will replace a PC I suggest you buy one now and decommision that Win95 x86 box you are using to type messages here! Even Oracle should be concerned since if you look at tpc.org SQLServer has the best TPC price/performance numbers (4-way x86).

The DOJ is just nasty little road bump.

All IMHO of course.

/James

I never knew an ex-shareholder that didn't live to regret it!

MSFT is the most power technical bull ever, while comparable tech companies have seen their PE's remain even or go up, the MSFT PE has gone down 25%. The only explanation is this case.

I am sure that SUN, AOL, etc were serious when they brought up this case while they openly mimic they exact things they are accusing MSFT of doing.

Hopefully the good Judge Jackson realizes that he is in a whole new paradigm while considering this case because it seems obvious to me that the competition is thriving, even APPL. If fact, they are all billionaires!

Any significant judgement against MSFT might follow the law but might not necessarily follow the "spirit of the law". Billionaires!

In the mean time you should seriously consider removing the "ex"!

>>That's right, I'm not a shareholder. I'm an ex-shareholder.<<

Charles! If you are no longer a share holder of Microsoft, then why do you feel it necessary to come on this thread and bash it.?? What is the point??? Are you on some campaign thinking that you opinions may cause some here to sell their stock?? I just don't get it?? enlighten me!!!
