Larry: LOL! So you've been gone, eh? Well I hope it's provided some profits. But if you being gone is what it takes to provoke announcements out of VLNC and/or it's partners...well....don't take this the wrong way, but goodbye! ;-)

Anyway, you state:

"Hanil has announced the official start of production for the 3rd or 4th time now."

Eh? I don't recall any third or fourth time statements out of that entity. Care to point to something which collaborates your statement? I do recall them stating something towards the end of last year, wherein they expressed some hopes of having their line operational by this time. When this was put to L.D. he seemed to doubt this happening. But as far as I know, this is the first time Hanil has bounded the nature of their production with numbers. Could it be a case of market overhang? Possibly, but there ya go, right, wrong or otherwise, that quantity now hangs there naked as can be for all the market(and Hanils competitors) to see.

"VLNC and the dribble"

I tend to agree with you on this one. Hindsight confirms management would have been better off biting the bullet way back a year ago. This would be an interesting question to present to management during that call. That's if you've decided to abrogate one of your rules about not talking to management. Ooops, or is that Zeev's rule? ;-)

"it seems clear that the purchaser was pre-selling these shares."

I dunno about that. Without benefit of hard data I gotta say this ain't at all clear to me. Can you point to something by way of corroboration? Or at least provide speculative data along the lines of what Paul K. in times past has provided? Speaking of Paul, if his theory is correct then we should expect to see some announcement of a conversion within the next 3 to 4 B-days. Be that as it may, I will say I find it VERY coincidental that the dribble has managed to occur, three times, at(or around) VLNC's low. Kind smacks of collusion, eh? Still, your comment lends itself nicely to a question to ask management at that call. And it's not to ask WHO has been on the receiving end of the dribble. You just know they ain't gonna answer THAT one, eh? BUT, I see them as having no problem answering whether the same institution was the buyer of all past dribbles or not. From this you can at least legitimize your inference about that same institution running their own game, if not confirm it.

As for everyone else....folks I see no reason to put Larry on ignore. He might be asking questions you don't like, but they ain't the malicious insults some have taken to representing themselves by from time to time. My advice is to lighten up a little. Cogent rebuttal is necessary in order to insure the most rational of discourses occurs, eh? ;-)

Meanwhile, as far as VLNC goes, there looks to be a little profit taking/consolidation going on. Not a bad thing since some folks were probably looking at too large a percentile gain to ignore. After all, until management comes clean me thinks day trading VLNC ain't a bad strategy to employ. Everyone else will probably settle in until conference time. My guess is it'll trade between here and $6 1/2 until then.

And let's hope management has something worthwhile to say come that day. Now....about those....

John~

Hey Larry, welcome back.

How long do you think the "wall of shares" at 5.00 will hold the stock price below that level?

Larry, if I followed correctly management's intention, they will need another $25 MM on top of before they expect to be self supporting. You must admit however, that unlike in most leaky floorless, this one is still "contained" within reasonable bounds. It is not as good as the financing coup MVIS did, yet, not as bad as many other leaky floorless we have seen elsewhere. The real question is how long before those PO's. If it is another two quarters of dribbling financing, I fear that Daddy Warbuck may lose patience (there must be a number of these, or if it is a single Dad, your assumption of preselling or engineered rallies to sell into must be correct).

Good luck and welcome back.

Zeev

The typical cynicism from Larry/Noway (Isn't it funny Larry and Noway go away together?) VBG.

Here's Larry's response to Hanils announcement:
<<I see Hanil has announced the official start of production for the 3rd or 4th time now.>>>
And here is what Hanil really said the previous two announcements: search.ked.co.kr

globalsources.com

Before Hanil had only "planned" to begin production.....
And the latest press release says Hanil has "begun" production (much more important statement): etnews.co.kr|

"""Hanil Valence has begun commercial production of lithium ion polymer batteries, the next generation storage battery for mobile phones.

Hanil said it is the first firm in the world to start commercial production of lithium ion polymer batteries. Several battery makers in Japan are producing sample products of these batteries.""""

Pretty damn encouraging for us long waiting longsssss!!

Hey Doug....Larry's a pretty good spinner too....dontcha think?
