Hey Mark, so why is CMGI only +1 today?......
Just Kidding.....
That was a great post, one that I should mentally bookmark
to keep things in perspective for myself.

OT: To Mark,

I don't usually post, but your post touched a nerve and I just want to congratulate you on your well-founded reasons for living. Too many times too many of us get caught up in things that we can't control (like CMGI's daily movement) and letting slide the things that we could make a difference in.

God bless you and yours...

Mark's message is a good example of why in '94 I invested heavily in (and have held) AOL. And why I bought CMGI at $39. Not making light of Mark's situation but when some one goes into this much personal detail about themselves and indicates how <<The virtual friendships on SI have been a tremendous bonus for me>> one can see the enormous personal impact the internet in general is having on our society. Long term, with DD, it will be hard to lose money in this segment of investing.........

Great post, Mark.

CMGI will do everything that all us longs want it to do, as you have repeatedly pointed out. Patience is the only thing we need.

Oh, my, what a post. I've been through hell too, and it is good to see that you also came out on the right side. Good fortune to you.
(On that note, good fortune to all us CMGIers!)

Mark:

Thanks for sharing your life and views. I have always looked at your views with very high regards. I also do not pay a lot of attention to daily fluctuations, even though luckily I did not go through the difficult time like you. My cost basis of 20 in CMGi qualifies me as long term investor in the internet time frame. Good luck to you.

Mark, thanks for sharing. It does help put things in perspective.

Scarecrow asked for comments about the stock price. I have been trying all morning to think of something intelligent to say and could not. Your experiences give us something else to think about.

This probably sounds stupid but I feel that one day we are all going to wake up and the stock will either be at $300 or $30 and some of us will be wondering how we missed it.

I am betting on the extra 0.

Luck
Marshall

Whoa! Mark, thanks for the candid post. It's rare to find such personal detail on these boards. But I appreciated the obvious care and thought that you put into your message. It had the ring of hard-won truth to it. Thanks.

** OT ** Mark Peterson, thank you for sharing your personal experiences with us... I just hope that you have overcome whatever pains you went through...

I do agree with you, everyday we wake up is a gift from God in his heavens and we should be truly thankful for it...

and about CMGI, long term it is definitely a winner, and since I am not trying to make a living trading it, if it goes up, WONDERFULL, if it goes down, do I have money to BUY more CMGI or what can I sell to BUY more CMGI...

best regards
