Richard,

<Oh, oh, the testing at 22 is not going so well. >

Since the semis had such a strong uptick over the last week or so I wrote calls for almost all my stocks except AMD in the last couple of days. Fundamentally I feel comfortable with AMD in the short and medium term. I think the news for the next week or two should be very positive for AMD (except for one potential downside due to NEC situation and another possible downside due to unexpected motherboard or component availability problems).

However, I have not considered any technical factors regarding AMD's recent runup. What is your take? Is the good news for the short term already built-in? What are the key technical things that you see for the near term (2-6 weeks)?

Is this time to write some November/December calls or you think it is worth waiting out Comdex?

Thanks,
Chuck
