Don, <Based on your above comments.. How could you really, know that?>

Because I work here, so I know a few things right now that I can't say to the public until Intel makes it officially known. Some of those things are good, some not so good. Rambus employees operate the same way, in case you were wondering.

<Also how do you know Intel isn't using the Press ( The Register and others) to their benefit just as Clintons have been doing like a science for the last 7 years .>

There's a lot of people at Intel who make official statements to the press. Some, I bet, are just as slick as President Pinnochio and that carpetbagging spouse of his. But others just aren't like that. For example, Barrett, in my opinion, is a soft-spoken straight-shooter, the total opposite of a used-car salesman. He's more comfortable talking about the way it is instead of spouting off the latest slogans from marketing. That's why his statements can be taken at face value, unlike the statements of CEOs who are more flamboyant, like Jerry Sanders.

Besides, I get the feeling that if Intel is trying (or has tried) to manipulate the press, they'd be as subtle as an 18-wheeler trying to squash a rabbit.
