DJB: It is well known that Smith Barney is Sanford Weill's old outfit. I think he used it to buy Pru, then combined with Soloman and finally CCI, in true Andrew Carnegie style. It is rumored that Weill and Buffet are "freindly" through the Soloman connection. What this has to do with oil, I don't rightly know. I simply can't conceive a world were those two individuals are unaware of a trade of this magnitude. But I am only speculating about this transaction.

BTW one of my favorite pastimes is jigsaw puzzles.
