I have had a ThinPhone for the last mo. Through Sprint. Have the 1960. Replaced a Nokia with ATT one rate plan. It is a lot clearer than the Nokia and I'm very happy with it. The i stands for information. You can read your own phone # and get certain other call info. Sprint does offer internet access to an extent. You get to it by pushing the menu button and than scroll down and # 9 is minibrowser. if you than push 9 you are on. If you sign up for web service it is an extra 10 dollars a month. You probably can get on without the service but it is expensive that way.
I also asked my Sprint store about the pdq about 2 weeks ago. the salesman pulled one out of the drawer. Heavy but nice. Priced at $799 in Tucson. Hope this helps.
