Seattle day trips: If you have 1/2 day, take the Winslow ferry from downtown Seattle and then drive to Poulsbo, a cute Norwegian former fishing village. The nearby Bloedel Reserve (former estate) on Bainbridge Island is worth seeing if you don't have time to get to the Olympic Peninsula (reservations required).

If you have a full day, continue driving across the Hood Canal Bridge to Port Townsend on the Olympic Penninsula. This is a must-see. Hurricane Ridge in the nearby Olympic Mtns is a must-do also, if still open at this time of year.

Both trips are higher priority than Bremerton, imo.

Again, enjoy!
