The more POS the stock, the greater the existing short interest.

We all know that sidelined money is flowing back into stocks, causing prices to rise. That triggers short covering. That triggers momentum buying. And so the higher it goes . . . .

Yup, that's exactly right: the more spec, there is the higher they go.
