<<<IBM is really pissing me off>>
Your objection is noted. Big companies get into big troubles.
Mickey Mouse and Pluto seem to have caught a 'bug' over at DIS.
It was the largest savings and loan (Gibralter)that went belly up
Wppss ?, the largest neuclear menace. Then check HWP, Bac, Amr. BA
CPQ?.
Seeking apparent safety in size and hype is detrimental to progress.
I only bought two sets of puts all year, one being IBM on the way up( poof-they vanished)(G). We could stay away from that one!
But in last 6 days, I have made on paper, 7 years of gross pay
earned at Boeing (which was some decades ago tho). And would have
to encourage any working person to invest in equities at least on long-term basis. Dell thread has the absolute top-notch blow your mind
stock pickers.
Dell itself is performing about as(I) expected- not much until
Nov 11. The rest is up to Mikie. You know he has the material, company performance and facts to present a glorious future.

Regards Sig

Hiya Frank.

If you hold on long enough, you will make it back.

My only other comment is that IBM is a very poos investment to start with, them having had trouble with hardware sales forever.

Only buying back their stock and other accounting shenanigans enabled them to come this far.

Once you get you money back, pls sell it... and invest in otehr companies.

JMHO
take care

Jean
