Totally Hip announces product strategy for 2000 after LiveStage Professional successfully launched at QuickTime Live! VANCOUVER, Nov. 23 /CNW/ - Totally Hip Software Inc. Alberta Stock Exchange: THW Totally Hip today announces an aggressive product delivery strategy for its LiveStage Professional, QuickTime(TM) Authoring Environment, for the year 2000 after a successful launch at the Apple(TM) sponsored QuickTime Live! Conference held in Los Angeles, California from Nov 8th to 11th. The continued development of existing products along with new product releases will solidify Totally Hip's position as the leading interactive QuickTime web tool developer. Aggressive Product Release Strategy for 2000 Totally Hip plans to aggressively deliver new versions and updates of LiveStage Professional in the next year that fully exploit the capabilities of Apple's QuickTime media technology. Totally Hip's strategy is to focus on their customers by delivering powerful tools, user friendly products and continuously implementing product improvements and adding new features to support their growing installed customer base. At MacWorld San Francisco in January 2000, Totally Hip will issue an update to LiveStage Professional that will be free to existing customers. This update will allow existing customers to benefit from new product enhancements and widen the customer audience. In addition to continued product refinement the main features being added are: - QuickTime VR support that includes the addition of wired sprite level interactivity to hot spots via QScript and drag and drop behaviors. This provides for more flexible interaction between the viewer and the VR movie to help make the virtual experience more realistic. - Text Tracks hotspots that can be scripted with QScript and drag and drop behaviors allowing for full QuickTime interactive capability and to serve as the trigger in a cause-effect relationship. The resulting effect can be a link to a URL on the Web as well as playing a sound, displaying more descriptive text, providing for user interaction, or other media events within a QuickTime movie. Once Apple ships QuickTime 4.1, Totally Hip will rapidly deploy a new version of LiveStage Professional to customers that will take advantage of new technologies and capabilities such as: - E-commerce and advertisement insertion authoring capabilities for easy digital media creation and streaming. - Movie within a movie authoring capabilities provides for more flexibility in creating interactive movie content. - Addition of more Flash(TM) track scripting capabilities for a more seamless integration between LiveStage Professional and Flash. - Support of synchronized multimedia integrated language (SMIL), the emerging standard for interactive media creation. At MacWorld New York in July of 2000, Totally Hip plans to: - Introduce a new companion Web vector product based on Macromedia's(TM) open-source industry standard Flash .swf file format, the industry standard for delivery of Web vector graphics that is included within QuickTime.
