European Investors Pour Money Into Stock Funds: Mutual Funds

London, Nov. 3 (Bloomberg) -- European investors are pouring money into stock mutual funds at the fastest rate since the summer of 1998 when Russia's debt default shook global financial markets.

European stock funds took in an estimated $8.2 billion in September, compared with a net outflow of $500 million during the same period last year, according to analysts at Salomon Smith Barney Inc. Investors yanked money from bond funds.
