The Meyerson wasn't built when I was with the Chorus; the Symphony was still playing in Fair Park then (early-mid 80s) which has terrible acoustics. (The operas are still staged there.) When I was with them, Edwardo Mata was the conductor, now we have Andrew Litton. But my sons sang in the Myerson with the Symphony for two years of Christmas performances when they were with a Children's Choir and it was a huge thrill for them (and for us). The acoustics are out of this world. The organ is outstanding-- and they sang there when Paul Riedo was still alive and the Symphony organist. He was incredible.
It is a gem of a hall-- not a bad seat in the house.
