From Briefing.com........One set of stocks receiving a little less mention, despite equally impressive results, have been the companies
that develop and supply fibre channel products that enhance access to and storage of electronic data and
applications... Key players in this field include Brocade (BRCD), JNI Inc. (JNIC), QLogic (QLGC) and, of
course, Emulex (EMLX)... EMLX is our favorite in this group given its favorable valuations (relatively speaking),
incredible momemtum, and solid financials (over $105 mln in cash)... Market for fibre channel products
expected to grow nearly 10-fold over the next 3 years according to research provided by International Data
Corp... Company sees open systems fibre channel implementations being further bolstered by the upcoming
release of Windows 2000... EMLX posted record sales and earnings last quarter and is expected to earn
$1.04 in FY00 and $1.41 in FY01... Company also announced another 2-for-1 stock split... Date of which is to
be determined at shareholder meeting on 11/18... Company split 2-for-1 back on 8/30... Our 6- to 12-month
target is 200... Of course, hefty valuations make EMLX an investment candidate for aggressive growth,
risk-tolerant investors. - RW

....WHY I LIKE ZOOX and VIXEL,both IPO's of the Week from RenaissanceCapital a while back,,,,a lot cheaper than this bunch.

Re: the market has a way to humble you

So true...

We all learn lessons the hard way sometimes.
I've had my share of hard - and expensive - ones.
But we learn.
