jhg - you still need both. today - client/server apps are not server centric. perhaps some day we may see all java/java applets from sunw - or whoever - but today mission-critical corporate applications are client/server based. and developers/isv's are just starting to get full featured/richness from client-server applications into java/html pages/and java applets. and believe me - they have a long long way to go. the only effective way to deliver those mission-critical client/server applications in a similar server-centric fashion is via citrix. citrix is here to stay - and to get much bigger - no matter what microsoft says about the fat desktop - and no matter what sunw promotes about a 100% java world.

btw - i still believe that we will see a metaframe server product for unix - and bypassing nt2k and nt4 altogether - perhaps specifically linux. the market for such a product remains to be seen in fortune companies - nevertheless - it will be another offering in the ctxs arsenal. the doubters from the sunw thread have a little learning to do regarding ctxs.
