staroffice is not a thin client - it is a true fat client. the benefit of that product is that it is 'free'. it's not really free - as if any corporation ever really wanted to deploy it - they would spend BIG dollars on retraining people from MS office to Star Office. The thin model that SUNW is touting for their office product will be 'StarPortal' - not in production today. this product will be browser based. MSFT has already announced that they intend to make MS Office truly web-based as well - in rebuttal to SUNW's announcement.
