If you wish to do one of these don't plan on leaving anything to your heirs. The lender really does a number on them. I have looked into this for my mom. Since I will probably inherit her house when she dies I have decided to send her $5000 a year my self.This is a gamble as if she should end up in a nursing home the government gets her house ...that I have kept free and clear. pez
