The prototype was round - about 2 1/2" in diameter - had an LED display on the front telling the name of the song and artist being played. The design will change though, depending on who the OEM is and what they want. I did'nt think to look carefully, but I believe it used either a single "A" battery or maybe two "AAs". It was neat looking and different from others I've seen.
