Like the numbers... this may seem strange, but they might be only a tad high.... at the following post, I've stated that by 2005, I'm betting the current QCOM shares will be worth around $10K each (not including splits)...

If LSI can gain a 30% marketshare foothold in 2000, that would mean somewhere around 400 million dollars in CDMA
revenue next year. (Assuming LSI gets $20.00 a chip or so)


I'll be the devil's advocate here. Isn't going from 0 (is that right, zero now?) to 30% in one year a huge step? You have to get through compatibility issues #1, and smaller but absolutely necessary things like electromagnetic compliance. Even the country base, highly Far East, might bring up complications, of which I don't know what I'm talking about, just wonder.

Another company near and dear (NOT!) to me, AMD, has had a goal to grab 30% of the microprocessor market for a while...I don't think so. Anyway, like I say, devil's advocate, but I'd take 30%!
