Frank, As a devoted reader of the Gorilla thread, I would like to say congratulations on your new career. I did something similar two years ago and have never regretted the decision. I think that you'll find opportunities often present themselves when taking up watching the market daily. Good luck and I hope you identify some new primates in the early stages.

Regards

"is there any difference?"

yes. if you are long option, put or call, you can wait for aftermarket developments before you decide whether or not to exercise. for example you hold 90 put. stock closes on friday, november 19 at 90.25. after market closes on that day judge announces his findings. you still have time to exercise if you think stock will trade below 90 on monday.
