and what did Einstein say , in the end about his belief in God , Brian?

For after all, in the end , he was a "believer" in a divine being...

he spoke rather eloquently and beautifully on the existence of a "superior reasoning force " behind all things.

I don't think that conflicts with the "Christian" view of god.

***Also you must note , that St Paul went to Corinth, where Christianity first began to really begin to spread. Corinth was a city of trading and business/commerce as a seaport....totally absorbed in the "buying and selling", "weighing & measuring"....

"The wages of Sin" and other biblical phrases and character come from this early formation of the spread of christianity, out from the gates of the city of Corinth, where the apostolic Paul dwelled and preached, and the gospel according to Jesus of Nazareth, was really to begin to spread and reach farther out.

Einstein was in fact a very religious fellow , and in every sense of the phrase, qualified as a "good christian".

hope you are aware of this , and have the "eyes" to see it..

Brian,

Well, it seems that you've come to the end of your reasoning... now you are simply answering questions and replying (or not) to points with only questions.
Either this means I understand what you have meant at this point and you feel no need to continue or you have given up on our conversation because you are afraid to answer the questions or conceed the points.

so here goes again:
was the apple bitter or sweet?

the truth of HOW I saw the flavor is not up for grabs. The truth is that unless I tell you what flavor I tasted you will not know. This is as it is with faith. Unless God verbally tells us His will we do not know. But what is faith? Faith is a belief in what we DO NOT KNOW. IF we NEED FAITH then it is because we DO NOT KNOW. If we do not know, then how the heck can YOU be so sure you are right? By Believing; actively accepting the Lord's written word... not passively having it forced upon you from on High. That my friend is KNOWING and NOT BELIEVING. And it does not require faith, which we both concur is needed at this stage in man's existance.
So, had you picked a flavor (for you KNOW I ate an apple, because I told you I did) you would have had to put FAITH in your BELIEF (which are two separate things). But this faith does not mean you are correct. I appreciate your level of faith in what you believe, even if I think the apple tastes differently.
This is how the Faith I ave recieved works; I know and profess that God "ate an apple"(Gave us Jesus). I know it was either bitter or sweet. I Know that He has said it was Good, so it really doesn't matter if I believe in anything other than His enjoyment of the apple(that Jesus died for our salvation). All the scriptures you have pointed out state that I will Hear, and I have. The also state that I should Believe, and I do. I have been given strong faith in Jesus and especially in God the father and the Spirit. As do you. So was the apple bitter or was it sweet? You see, it is not up for grabs when God is the one eating the apple. (I hope you see the forementioned "I" was a reference to God and not myself)

...woe to them that think they KNOW the Will of God.

I didn't change any wording - what is your definition of "believe"? sheesh! just answer the question.
And I never said that man at this point can be saved by KNOWING God. The Devil knows God, as did Adam. But they had no faith. And the Bible says quite clearly that we must be given Faith IN ORDER THAT WE BELIEVE THE WORD.
Not that with Faith we will believe, but in order that we may. Can faith be shattered? Can faith be destroyed? No! But can your beliefs? ABSOLUTELY! (proof would be if either of us ever concedes in this silly discussion... or if anyone right now is reading this and MAKING UP THEIR MINDS that one of is correct)
