"... 1/4 of those phones will be lost/stolen/broken and... "

I would like to see a study on the percentage of phone purchases that are replacements precisely due to these reasons. Although I suspect my neighbors are probably an extreme case, they joke that they average just under 7 new phone a year. Both husband and wife have phones. Both have the habit of putting their phone on the top of the car then driving off--either losing the phone or finding it later, smashed on the road. The wife has lost hers in either the meat or dairy areas of supermarkets twice. Lost or broken phones have to be replaced immediately--they have a child with severe medical problems.
