2MAR$; Homosexuality is not sex. It is an attraction to the same sex in a sexual manner. I have had friends who felt this attraction (even one towards me... which I wasn't sure whether to be grossed out or charmed, but I digress- for the record, I was grossed out). Anyway, the Bible does not condemn this attraction. It condemns the following acts in it's Lev. statement: 1. Having sex with same sex partners. 2. Treating another man as you would a woman, sexually. BUT; I ask you all this - is it physically possible for a man to "lieth with a man" as he would a woman? Men don't have that oriface... Unless they had an operation, so maybe it's only tranvestites that are sinning... I also ask you this: who is supposed to condemn the men that lieth with each other? Us or God? Why is this a topic at all. It is not our responsibility! God wil handle it. (anyone taking it upon themselves to do this is doing it because they are striving to be (a)god, not because they are trying to do good) -maouse ps. wasn't Leviticus pretty much a early health manual? perhaps the isrealites knew of siphilus from the egyptian doctors? pps. just so we're clear - I do believe that the act of sex between two people of the same sex is therefore a sin. But I do not believe that abstanant homosexuals are sinning by having an attraction. When was the last time you washed after having an emision or period? If you want to believe the death and damnation in the OT then believe it ALL (which I pretty much do, with a few grains of salt - knowing that my english version is a "horible" translation) ppps. I also believe that ANY sinner can be saved....
