ACTV, Inc. Names Richard N. Yelen Senior Vice President of Marketing

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 1999--ACTV, Inc.,(NASDAQ: IATV) today announced it has appointed Richard N. Yelen senior vice president of
marketing, bolstering the company's marketing function as it launches its proprietary products and services for digital television and TV-Internet convergence.

ACTV is a leader in interactive digital television with its proprietary "Individualized Television" and "Individualized Advertising" software and programming
capabilities. The company has also pioneered TV-Internet convergence programming with its patented HyperTV(TM) software solution.

Mr. Yelen, previously director of cable TV marketing with Cox Communications, will initially be responsible for developing the branding, positioning and
promotional strategy for ACTV's various product lines. While at Cox, the nation's fifth largest cable company, he developed the company's consumer video
acquisition and promotional strategies, and consulted with Cox' cable systems nationwide. He also served as director of consumer marketing and premium marketing
for Cox, where he developed and successfully implemented the company's strategy for selling premium cable products.
