Thanks for info on money supply and credit Mike (that's the name right william?), and all.

I need to study the situation. I took a brief look at the fed stats and it seemed that money supply growth as well as each element of debt growth was slightly lower in the 90's than that of the 70's 80's etc.

See to me it's a relative issue. I don't know if 60% growth for almost 5 years is out of line. I think that roughly implies 5-8% (need to pull up excel to check that). Is that high? So the monetary base grew the same during the 20's... what if it did in the 60's 70's 80's?

I guess I still don't have the info I'm looking for. My fault as I should go study it.
