Yep, gave it up. I used to live to hunt. There's no upland game left because all the cover is gone. If I shot a pheasant I'd feel like I killed an endangered specie. As for water fowl, I have them nesting in my ditch. They've become like friends. Last deer I shot I took to a butcher. If I have gotten to the point where I am too busy to butcher a deer I don't deserve to shoot one. Most of all it was running into so many assholes. Watching a group kill 17 ducks and retrieving only one because of where they were falling. And damnit if they weren't back the next day. Not the type of people I wish to associate with.
