James how idiotic can you be in your belief? Base my life on a book I know to be a lie and disregard a direct experience of God and direct communication with Christ? Stop stop and use your brain and reason. My belief goes beyond the mythical Jesus to Christ who I have seen in this life and dwells in me. If Jesus belief got you over alchohol it was great you had faith in that manner. The same faith in a pet rock would have done the same. James don't you realize you quit drinking because you desired to quit because you were being destroyed by it? If you truly desired to know Christ you would be like a magnet to draw yourself to him. You can imagine a savior and be content. It's based on your concept of God and with a false concept its easy to create a God that suits it. There is only one God. All reality is God in manifestation. Your concept of reality just seems to be. All paths lead to God. Christ's sacrifice was not death on the cross but breaking his heavenly body into parts and giving life to us that we might escape our animal minds and develop the mind of Christ. A human sacrifice and torture cannot add one iota to your spiritual development.
