It matters little because GUMM got what it wanted, national coverage of their product.

I have to believe that this is a taste of what KOVEL/FULLER meant when they referred to "guerrilla tactics".... An article published in February wouldn't exactly be what they had in mind for this cold season especially with the more important study waiting in the wings.

Millions of dollars worth of free publicity. The product is flying off the shelves. That study may well have served its purpose...

I'm guessing that this also means they have some pretty good indications how the second study turned out.

That's probably true. However, I suspect that's not all they wanted. I'm sure they didn't relish the thought of having their "data" scrutinized by the public. I have issued a challenge to GUMM to post their AJIC article on the internet in it's entirety so it may reviewed by anyone. I'll bet nobody except the spin dr's at GUMM will ever see that article. It's a classic pump and dump tactic designed to hype the stock price. Hardly the trademark of a reputable company.
