Tony: Thanks. I know that GULP! feeling all too well. I believe EMC and CSCO are good places to be even if there are gyrations along the way. Still haven't taken the plunge on EMC and afraid the starving grad student might beat me to it <vbg>. Seems to have more cash at the ready than I do. EMC's response to the Paine Weber report was impressive as well as timely. I agree with you about Y2K effects. Now, would anyone want to offer an opinion whether or not EMC would be as quick to respond if/when another analyst were to offer a wildly optimistic report? Just wondering. dmf
