I know you have what it takes.;-) << Mountain View, California, Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Cobalt Networks Inc., which makes special computer servers, rose sixfold in its first day of trading. The Mountain View, California-based company rose 114 to 136 as 500,000 shares were exchanged. The shares opened at 139, giving the company a market value of $3.79 billion. Cobalt makes special servers that provide the few specific Internet services that a company needs, such as hosting a Web site or managing software. This is cheaper and easier than using general purposes computer servers, the company says. Cobalt sold 5 million shares at $22 each yesterday, raising $110 million -- 40 percent more than initially expected. The sale represented an 18 percent stake. Cobalt trades under the symbol ``COBT' on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
