Ex, First of all, you have to understand the fact that I was reviewing "The High Tech Strategist," which made the claim about cooking the books, not me. However, there is no question whatsoever that the option in lieu of pay scam is a chef's delight. And MSFT has done this more than any other co. So they are definitely playing games with the shareholders' money to fluff earnings. So far it has worked. Of course I am totally unbiased. I buy the stuff that is a good value and buy puts on the crap. MSFT is an odd bird, in that it is not terribly overpriced if they are allowed to continue their monopoly forever and build new ones whenever another co. has a good idea they can rip off. I doubt that environment will continue for long.
