<John, I don't think you can possibly get enough data to make any valid conclusions. FWIW I've made 61 round turns in the last 12 months and the return of my closed positions represent gains of 132%> I agree - not seriously trying to derive a correlation coefficient - it's only for fun! With regards to "return", I meant TOTAL return on the ENTIRE portfolio, ie. if the portfolio was worth $100k on 1/1/99, a 50% gain would equate to a value of $150k today. Posting a return on only the "closed" positions is not very meaningful.
