Digital Microwave Corp. CEO Charles Kissner talks to
The Wall Street Transcript

NEW YORK, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wall Street Transcript
has published an in-depth interview with Charles D. Kissner,
CEO of Digital Microwave Corporation (Nasdaq: DMIC - news),
in which he talks at length about his company's future.

The entire 2,600 word interview is available free online at
twst.com.

He states, ``The company was founded in 1984, and it was
founded on the concept of providing a cost-effective radio
system that could be used in place of wires or fiber. The
timing was right. Deregulation was taking place, and people
were open to new networks and new technologies. This cost-
effective radio concept was a breakthrough in microwave
technology because, prior to that, microwave radios were
mostly very large and expensive.'

He explains, ``In 1995, the current management team came in.
It focused on delivering a major product line that had been
very late to market, and subsequently generated a number of
other new products, expanded the market coverage, put in
quite a bit of discipline in terms of the day-to-day
operations, asset management and so on. The company turned
around quite nicely and rode up to record revenues and up to
record sales. It reached well above $350 million. The company
gained a position all over the world with cellular operators
who were building up their networks.'

Looking forward, he states, ``The broadband requirement for
networks is far and away the largest thing that's hit the
market in many, many years. Obviously, a lot of that is
driven by Internet and other data requirements; but it's also
driven by a tremendous mix of communication requirements of
all kinds all over the world.'
