Gregory, as a King, JDSU might very well become Dell-like (I'd be very happy with that return!) However, QCOM is a Gorilla- it will never become commotitized(?) like Dell.

There will come a time when QCOM and JDSU become DELL like. Not necessarily so. Dell is/was a Prince. No IP. No barriers to entry. QCOM is a Gorilla. Lots of IP. Enabling technology. Huge barriers to entry. There will come a time when QCOM will become CSCO like. JDSU is a King. It dominates its niche. It is growing rapidly. High barriers to entry, as it has benefit of scale in a high growth market and superior, apparently, manufacturing capabilities of complex processes. There will come a time when JDSU is ...well, perhaps GE like. There may be no comparison and JDSU may find a way to make that rare leap from royalty to semianism. Discussion, please.
