Thanks for the Tax input viper. I'll pose this question to the board. Does anyone know if a printed online listing of your yearly trades from your broker qualifies as "sufficient record keeping" as far as the IRS is concerned ? They can print all my trades (as I'm sure most or all brokers can) in a way that would solve the hassle of organizing the individual trade notices (got a big pile) I've received in the mail from my broker. Last year my trades numbered in the 10's and tax preparation was no problem but this year my trades will number in the hundreds. I would appreciate it alot if you seasoned tax payers would dig down deep into the bottom of your hearts and help a mandalou out with such information.
