Unless Signal has changed a lot, you have more options for charting there. B Bands and mutiple MAs are present plus many others that aren't provided with Signal.

Just ran a quick check. I have bollinger bands and a 20ema and 50ema on a chart. no problem just point and click. Fully customizable.

KK

edit, added a 100ema and 200ema, Donchian channels, Price Envelope. Very busy chart but you can put anything you want on it. Even allows offsets on the MA's or EMA's. I think you would be quite impressed.

Alan,

Probably an eSignal user that told you that! <g>

Currently i have Bollinger Bands, 10, 20, 50 EMA's on all of my charts and additionally 100 and 200 period EMA's on my daily charts. I also have volume and ADX at the bottom for all periods, and additionally Stochastics for the dailies. I occasionally add regression channels and/or trend lines to a chart for nightly analysis. Also, I use Fibo lines in all time frames to determine retracements.

A little busy, but it works.

Regards,

Dan.

Before I went to a more minimalist approach to charting, I had 20 and 60 and 100 EMAs, BBs, and sometimes an MACD and Stochs, all up at the same time on the chart. Add to this several trendlines including some depicting important spikes and H/Ls. But I do find QCharts to be unreliable at times. I would not use it for real-time intraday trading without a backup.

Now I trade with just the chart, and the three EMAs. Sometimes I put up a MACD or Stochs depending on the market and the type of trading I am doing. And sometimes I have found myself trading without any indicator at all on the chart. I did not realize this until later in the day to my surprise. But I did still use trendlines.
