The monopoly issue was not an issue. It was a given. It was the rest of the text that was totally so biased as to be an unacceptable base by which the parties could negotiatea fair settlement. Justice is happy keeping this thing going. They believe they are slowly torturing MSFT to death and that they will get whatever they want from this judge when the final ruling comes down. Prediction: MSFT will win many points on appeal and this thing will drag on well into the Bush administration (i.e., a different Justice Dept).
