This has nothing to do with anal anything but it amused me. I got a ride home from Marcella with two dalmations and a rented car. I had made a trek to OfficeDepot (one of my favorite things) and bought shelves and a chair so I had two big boxes. I waited for ages for the taxi company to pick up (what is it? people go out on Friday?) and then after they finally answered and said it'd be a half hour, I sat down outside with my motherlode. Up pulls a car and this dark-haired, lovely young woman asks if I want a ride. She says it's kind of a bad neighborhood (I didn't say I walk it at 2 a.m. while drunk). I say sure. What a sweetie. Made my day. And now I'm home with pieces of things to put together.
