This can be a very big political issue in the Y2k presidential election, you guess who will got hurt the most !!! Maybe someone did not like like AG , and created such a case.

Microsoft had kept a low profile in the past 12 months since the trial started , and hope the judge will make a reasonable ruling , and after the release of FOF , that hope is broken , and Microsoft can be in full speed again. Microsoft's problem is a political one ,
not product or business issues. The rule of the game is FORCE over FORCE, I mean political force. The DOJ had overly expanded political force, so Microsoft should also play the game of political force. The rule of the game is if you keep a low profile , your enemy will do whatever it can to hurt you . However , if you show your force , your enemy will think twice before it do anything unreasonable. So, fromm now on Microsoft should do anything it can to support the Republican president, a pro business president is good for the business, industry and people, which includes Microsoft. So in y2k, the medias
will talk about the case every once in a while, do you know what people will think if the following ADs is run everyday on the newspaper, TV, major magazine ?

" Do you want a country where the business is regulated everyday?
Do you need a government who tells you how to use your money everyday ?
Do you want free market force to play in our country or communism?
Do you want freedom of innovation, or government to tell us what products you are allowed or not allowed to develop ?

Well, think twice before you vote "

Well, people will think and think more than twice before they cut their votes.

The rule of the game is if you support me , and you will get rewarded, this is the rule of political games. From now on Microsoft should play politically.

Well, as to the trial, it is of no event, just a one day show.
Microsoft will continue be strong and stronger in years 2000s, that is the price of stock will be decided. The appeal will last into year2000, and at that time we will have a pro business , free market force , free innovation president in the white house and the current DOJ will be broken up before Microsoft if Microsoft even have a chance to be broken up. So, as I said business as usual, but Microsoft has to be more political from now on.
