Brother, my mother's horse named for her younger brother who had passed away, died awhile back. He was a huge, sweet Palamino. His insides got all knitted up and they had to put him down. In some ways I think it was like losing her brother all over again for my mother. She loved calling him that.

My oldest sister, who has lost most all her sight from maliclar-degeneration (sic) rode in the blind Olympics in Alabama. Even if she can't see the scenery, she loves the feel of riding and of being with the horse. I hope she keeps it up.
