Many government agencies, including HCFA, are standardized on Word Perfect. Can you blame them? I have to convert my documents from Word to pdf format (MSFT has made this conversion a pain in the A*S, not surprisingly) to transfer documents to HCFA .

Looks like we're on course for an eventual United States Supreme Court decision. My guess is that it will be in 2002 after two rounds of appeals.

Because a cash fine settlement would be ineffective and the company has a history of breaking agreements, we might see the company broken up.

Here is my present guess at how the company should be divided:

- consumer software (95/98/IE/Games etc)
- business software (NT/Office/IE etc)
- developer tools (VC/VB etc)
- other
